ABOUT THE POSITION - LVL and Plywood Specialist

The LVL and Plywood Specialist, will report to the Head of Technical Sales Support located in Finland. This role primary focus will be conducting technical plans and mill audits at customers' mills, providing technical and technology support to the sales and quotation team, participating in production development projects at customer mills, and R&D projects.

The LVL and Plywood Specialist will be located at the Raute Delta office (Vancouver area) and must have flexibility to travel to customer sites if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical plans and mill audits at our customer’s mills
  • Provide technical and technology support for sales and quotation team
  • Design and develop mill lay-out and material flow
  • Participate to the production development projects at customer’s mills
  • Support production ramp-up of mills and production lines / modernizations
  • Participate to the R&D projects

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or Master of Science in machine design, automation or wood processing technology
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in working at plywood, veneer or LVL factory in development or management roles
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites locally throughout Canada and internationally
  • Must possess a valid passport and driver's license
