Tru Earth is looking for a Logistics Coordinator - Internal to join our team!

We are looking for someone who will assist the Director of Global Supply Chain by planning, scheduling, and monitoring all outbound, and inbound, shipments from all Tru Earth warehouse(s) and 3PL fulfillment locations.

This includes teamworking with the Operations Managers to establish work order timelines and assembly sequences according to priorities, while achieving internal financial targets and customer delivery dates.

Through effective coordination, we aim to maintain optimal levels of finished goods inventory in all locations, meet delivery dates, and accomplish organizational goals.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitors stock levels in all 3PL locations against forecast requirements and works in conjunction with the Operations Manager & Director of Global Supply Chain to establish work order requirements.
  • Coordinates outbound shipments and transfers from all locations to reach expected delivery dates.
  • Coordinates Amazon shipments in conjunction with our Amazon Partner including Stock availability and order allocations through 3PL facilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing the ERP system to generate outbound shipping documentation, manufacturing work orders and inventory control.
  • Oversee inventory movements within the ERP related to outbound and inbound activities.
  • Oversee landed cost adjustments within the ERP to ensure accurate product costing upon receipt.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Global Supply Chain and the Operations Manager on material requirements, identify and close gaps on shortages.
  • Coordinate / expedite manufacturing builds to ensure schedules are achieved.
  • Oversee shipping status reports and find efficiencies through various shipping options.
  • Generate Customs Paperwork and maintain operational rapport with our preferred customs broker.
  • Oversee International shipping paperwork and requirements.
  • Optimize internal logistics network and reduce overall shipping costs.
  • Research and confer with logistics vendors in the industry and develop ongoing relationships to assist in quality of service and cost reduction.
  • Track and oversee all logistics KPIs to ensure companywide success.

Education and Experience

  • Ideally 5+ years roles in Consumer-Packaged Goods and / or Logistics
  • APICS Certification (i.e., CPIM) an asset

Key Skills and Competencies

  • Passionate about the environment, sustainable living, and eradication of plastic in households
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high paced work environment including prioritizing work to meet multiple deadlines
  • Knowledge of purchasing and supply chain systems, LEAN rules of planning and ERM / ERP software
  • Demonstrated comprehension of Demand Planning tools and KPIs
  • Financial acumen with ability to make cost-effective selections and grasp financial impact of selections
  • Exceptional communication and customer relations skills; ability to articulate clear direction and influence others
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Office and business communications platforms such as Slack
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to problem solve and develop effective solutions
  • Demonstrated ethical and professional behavior, including respecting privacy
  • Entrepreneurial spirit coupled with keen curiosity and personal drive
  • Preference given to candidates located in the Burnaby and surrounding area
