GFL Environmental is looking for a Landfill - Equipment Operator to join ourteam in Swift Current, Saskatchewan! This is a part time position.

As a Landfill Operator, you'll be responsible for keeping the landfill organized and safe for the environment. You'll use bulldozers, front-end loaders, and other heavy equipment to compact waste and cover it with dirt.

Responsibilities :

• Manage the tipping area so litter doesn't blow away.
• Check compost areas, set up bait stations, and fill out reports about water on-site.
• Pick up any loose trash to keep the landfill looking good.
• Work with experts to make sure the waste is filled to grade.
• Inspect and maintain the bulldozers and other equipment, including adding fluids and greasing parts.
• Clean trash off the machines' tracks to make sure they run smoothly.
• Attend meetings to learn about safety procedures and other important information.

Qualifications :

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Problem-solving skills and common sense.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read, speak, understand, and write English.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions :

• You'll be working outdoors in all types of weather.
• You'll be operating heavy equipment about half the time.
• The work environment can be noisy.
• You'll be working until 5 : 45 PM each day.
