Job Description

Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the Junior Project Quotation Specialist provides accurate quotations to key contractors and works with our key suppliers on major projects.

The incumbent should be skilled at achieving acceptable margins during the Project with change orders and through negotiating with our Key suppliers.

Pro-active expediting and strong on-going quest of latest developments in products as well as features and benefits are critical skills.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Work closely with the Projects team and Sales Representatives;
• Liaise with customers to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives;
• Manage all aspects of a customer purchase order including : Communication, Documentation, Coordination of material supply and delivery, Invoicing;
• Monitor and track project progress and handle issues in a timely manner;
• May have to negotiate pricing and sales terms with vendors as per criteria from their manager.

REQUIREMENTS :

• 2 to 5 years of experience in the Electrical wholesale industry or contractor.
• Ability to multitask, balancing multiple projects closing and tender closing times.
• Basic Excel knowledge, an asset
• Strong communication skills, able to build manufacturer and vendor support
• Basic understanding of electrical drawings and electrical specification terms
• Must work closely with project management team to maximize company profitability
• Have the personality traits to react quickly in stressful situations around job closings
