IC SUPERVISOR, NIGHT SHIFT (12 : 00 am - 8 : 00 am)
Scope :
- Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action.
- Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximize employee morale and productivity.
- Participates in the selection / hiring of Inventory Control personnel, provides and / or coordinates staff training, works with employees to correct deficiencies, tracks hours & overtime and participates and provides feedback on employee performances (Check-In) and includes enforcing policies and procedures.
- Develops individuals for future advancement.
- Takes periodic physical inventories and ensures that the investment in inventory is maintained at optimum levels.
- Takes care of the inventory areas by organizing and maintaining efficient material handling and storage.
- Prepares analytical and statistical reports on operations and activities; including ensuring KPI’s are met-weekly / monthly / annually.
- Follow all relevant operational procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Follow and implement the approved flow restrictions / requirements.
- Meet all daily and weekly requirements as outlined by IC Supervisor or Manager.
- Conduct regular physical verification to determine the actual case / pallet thresholds of locations.
- Familiar with location of material to locate and arrange. Maintain product and location integrity ensuring accuracy and efficiency for order assembly.
Ensure all location item moves are performed accurately.
- Perform reject pallet investigations and correct.
- Review aged inventory and advise customer if inventory movement is low.
- Highlight areas of concern associated with inventory problems and highlight statement of facts surrounding the property loss, damage, destruction, or additions of materials.
- Adopt a proactive rather than a reactive approach.
- Ensure all items have location assignments, work with team to improve picking rates and high traffic areas.
- Work to create even levels of picks amongst areas as well as perform / fix any flow / ecom / wholesale pick concerns client may have.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Education / Experience :
- College degree in business management or a related field would be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience preferably in inventory control and / or warehouse / distribution operations
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems would be considered a strong asset
