Position Description

As an Implementation Specialistat Pani you will play a crucial role in driving our success bycollaborating across departments to implement digital twins of ourcustomers plants and deliver tailored use cases within Panisproprietary software system.

You will receive training and have theopportunity to develop a diverse set of highly soughtafter skillsincluding process engineering Python coding and scripting as wellas expertise in water treatment engineering andprocesses.

What you bring to theteam

• Recent Universitygraduate degree or diploma in a technical field such as mechanicalchemical process or environmental engineering or equivalentexperience
• Experience coding with Python forscripting and automating simpletasks.
• Familiarity with reading andinterpreting Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) ProcessFlow Diagrams (PFD) Block Flow Diagrams (BFD) and SCADAsystems.
• A strong drive to ask why questionsdemonstrating a curious mindset and a desire to understand the workdeeply.
• Comfort in working directly withstakeholders fostering collaborativerelationships.
• Proactive in seekingclarification when faced with ambiguity ensuring a clearunderstanding of tasks.
• An aptitude foridentifying communication gaps and miscommunication contributing toeffective collaboration.
• High generalintelligence and exceptional problemsolving abilities capable ofnavigating complex challenges.
• Excellentorganizational skills particularly in process management to enhanceoperationalefficiency.

Responsibilities

• Reviewand interpret P&IDs process flow diagrams and datasheet ofequipment (pumps blowers sensors etc.)
• Performinitial exploration cleaning and quality assessment of historicalplant data
• Update and execute Python andterminal line scripts and commands throughout the plant onboardingprocess.
• Write and debug Python automationscripts used throughout the plant onboardingprocess.
• Understand the design and control ofwater treatment plants and processes and apply this knowledge toset up key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimizationmodels
• Use Panis toolbox to configure KPIs andmodels set up charts and custom reports
• Analyzesensor data from plants and identify errors oranomalies
• Use engineering analysis and softwareunit testing to verify your own work and check the work ofothers
• Work with the engineering and softwaredevelopment teams to develop and improve internal onboarding toolsto make the onboarding process moreefficient

Nice toHave

• 1years of experience working with software development teams toimprove processes
• Experience in the waterindustry ideally in water / wastewatertreatment
• Experience working for a SaaSstartup
• Candidates based in the Pacific timezone particularly those local to Victoria are stronglypreferred.

Compensation

Panioffers a competitive total rewards package which includes acomprehensive health & dental benefits and paid time off. Theannualized base salary range for this Victoriabased role is CAD$55000 to $65000.

The base salary offered to the successfulcandidate will consider a wide array of factors including but notlimited to the individuals skill set level of experience applicableto the role they are being offered and consideration of internalequity.

Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below therange based on various factors including but not limited tolocation experience andexpertise.
