Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Manager, Human Resources, this position is responsible for delivering HR services to a site, including coordinating team member requests and changes, as well as providing admini strative support.

Ensures adherence to the Company s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Processes HR paperwork and maintains site files
  • Prepares internal correspondence as directed
  • Manages and maintains lists of regulatory requirements
  • Conducts site orientations
  • Responds to employment verification requests
  • Coordinates WCB Claims to ensure accuracy
  • Assists with recruitment including but not limited to attending career fairs, interviewing candidates, reference checking, referring candidat es
  • Provides HR advice to team members and site managers; refers to the Manager, Human Resources when necessary
  • Liaises with other locations on team member and file transfers
  • May attend the OH&S meetings as an employer represe ntative
  • Communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regu lations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma; post secondary education in HR or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • HR Desig nation an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of HR or administrative support experience
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Off ice; JDE or HRIS experience an asset
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License

Work Environment Considerations

Regular office and casino environment, non-traditional work hours may be required in c ertain circumstances, some travel may be required
