Our Edmonton client provides long term care and rehabilitation to adults in our community, and they are seeking a Housekeeping Aide to join their team right away.

If you have previous experience in a laundry type capacity and looking to work in a care facility, we’d love to speak with you!

Responsibilities :

• Ensure cleanliness all of department areas, as well as public areas
• Stock and keep track of cleaning supplies
• Garbage and bio-hazardous disposal
• Sterilize and disinfect equipment according to health and safety policies
• Complete regularly scheduled cleaning as well as special cleaning assignments
• Interacts positively with guests and staff

Requirements :

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
• Able to read, write, and speak in English proficiently
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stretching, and moving heavy objects; comfortable with tasks such as mopping, using cleaning equipment
• Knowledgeable on how to use cleaning equipment and supplies
• Desire to provide quality care to guests and staff
• Positive attitude, works well with a team to provide excellent care
• Must be agreeable to a vulnerable sector check as part of employment
