POSITION : High-Level Order Picker Operator

LOCATION : Brampton, ON. (Steeles / Tomken)

SHIFT : 11 AM - 7 : 30 PM, Monday to Friday

JOB DESCRIPTION : Order Picking :

Order Picking :

• Operate Jungheinrich order pickers to pick items based on order specifications.
• Reach and retrieve products at heights up to 27', following safety guidelines.

Packing :

• Pack items accurately and securely, ensuring they are properly labeled.
• Pack boxes carefully without overfilling, ensuring proper sealing.

Shipping :

Use designated carriers and follow company protocols for timely and efficient shipping.

RF Scan Gun Operation :

• Use RF scan guns to scan and track orders, ensuring accuracy in the warehouse system.
• Record picked items and quantities precisely.

Fast-Paced Environment :

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, meeting daily order-picking goals.
• Collaborate with the team to improve workflow and efficiency.

Quality Control :

• Inspect picked items to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Report any discrepancies or damaged products to supervisors.

Documentation and Reporting :

• Maintain accurate records of orders and provide timely updates to supervisors.
• Communicate effectively with the warehouse management team about any issues.

Flexibility and Additional Responsibilities :

Perform additional tasks as requested by your lead, as long as they don't pose a safety risk.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
• Comfortable standing, walking, and bending for long periods.
• Adaptable to working in varying warehouse conditions.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent (additional training in logistics is a plus).
• Experience in warehouse or returns processing roles.
• Familiarity with RF guns and inventory systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.
