About

SAGE Dining Services® Canada is seeking a prep cook for a private school in Vancouver, BC. Our venue is an independent day school that requires a talented kitchen team to exceed the expectations of its faculty and students.

Our main responsibilities include but are not limited to, a delicious hot lunch, coffee breaks, retail concession, and catering events.

On a regular day, our production is equivalent to 4 weddings.

We are looking for a hard-working and energetic individual to join our kitchen team as a prep cook / line server. The qualified candidate will thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment and excel in high production.

Strength in multi-tasking and efficiency is an asset. Experience in hotel banquets and / or cruise ships will be beneficial but not required.

This candidate is open to learning new and different methods of production, can work alongside a tight-knit team and also work independently when needed.

We are located in Kerrisdale, and close to major transit routes. Coffee and lunch are provided.

Schedule :

  • Monday - Friday
  • 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Summers off
  • Occasional evenings, weekends, and catering events

  • What you'll do :

    • Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members.
    • Maintain the customer service areas to ensure our guests enjoy amazing dining experiences.
    • Prepare assigned menu items in accordance with SAGE recipes.
    • Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).

    What you'll need :

    • Experience as a prep cook or line server in a commercial kitchen preferred.
    • Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English accurately.
    • Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner and provide service with a smile!
