Job Qualifications :

The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking an innovative High School Wood Shop (carpentry) Instructor for the 2024-25 school year at Father Mercredi High School until December 2024.

Requirements Responsibilities :

• Technical Diploma or journeyman certificate in area related to the assignment; Red Seal Carpenter is preferred,
• Strong relationship building skills,
• Flexible and adaptable,
• Organized and able to meet deadlines in accordance with the school schedule,
• Commitment to education and excited to work with students each day,
• Strong computer literacy and fluent with emails, internet, Microsoft and Google applications,
• Experience working in technical field related to assignment,
• Maintain materials, tools and supplies inventory,
• Ensure shop is in good working condition for instruction,
• Prior instructor experience is considered an asset.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Reference Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check. FMCSD may contact past and present employers for references.
