Heavy-Duty Mechanic

Core Rental Services Ltd is a heavy equipment rental company that offers equipment rentals, sales and service.

Presently we are recruiting a Heavy-Duty Mechanic , for work in Swift Current. The work schedule will be Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities :

• Ensure all equipment is continually maintained at the highest standards, and in a timely manner
• Check for proper performance and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine extent of repair required
• Perform preventative, planned, and unplanned maintenance, repair, trouble shoot, and test mechanical and electronic equipment
• Service calls for on site repairs (all seasons)
• Conduct performance and quality inspections according to procedure
• Maintain records in accordance with company policies
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
• Collaborative and respectful communication style
• Represent Core Rental Services in a positive and professional manner

Requirements :

• Apprentice or Journeyman Trade Certification in Heavy Duty Mechanics (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment
• Self-starter, dedicated and able to manage multiple tasks
• Well organized with the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute tasks
• Ability to work diligently alone, or in a team environment
• Personal Mechanic tools
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license

As part of our hiring process, you may be asked to :

• Provide a criminal record check
• Complete drug and alcohol screening with a negative result
• Complete a fitness evaluation related specifically to your position
• Provide copies of current certifications

Job Types :

Full-time (Monday Friday, Hours 8am - 5pm), Permanent

Experience :

Mechanical : 5 years (Preferred)
