Responsibilities :

• Provide direct patient care in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and their families on proper healthcare procedures and disease management
• Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality

Requirements :

• Valid HCA license with Alberta
• Proven experience in patient care, preferably in a variety of settings such as Long-Term Care, assisted living facilities, or home care
• Knowledge of palliative and geriatric care
• Knowledge of pain management techniques and protocols
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Ability to provide dementia care and support for patients with cognitive impairments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions based on nursing judgment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and work schedules
