Our client, located in Brampton is seeking a stellar Health and Safety Specialist to join their team. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience working within a similar capacity, working fully ON-SITE.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Inspections & Audits : Regularly conduct site audits to identify potential risks and implement corrective measures for regulatory compliance.
• Health & Safety Program Management : Develop and enhance a safety program that aligns with company objectives and fosters a safe work culture.
• Policy & Compliance : Create and enforce health and safety policies, ensuring alignment with legal standards and industry practices.
• Injury Claims & RTW Management : Oversee Workers' Compensation claims, lead investigations, and manage Return-to-Work programs for injured employees.
• Safety Support : Provide guidance to all branches on safety protocols, ensuring the correct use of equipment and adherence to safety standards.
• Incident Management : Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent future issues.
• Safety Reporting : Track and analyze safety data, reporting trends and suggesting improvements.
• Training & Safety Methods : Deliver safety training and promote safe work practices across the organization.
• Documentation & Record Keeping : Maintain safety records and follow up with staff to ensure compliance.
• Branch Visits : Occasional travel to branch locations to provide onsite support and conduct inspections.

Qualifications and Skills

• 5 years of relevant experience working within Health and Safety
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Experience and knowledge with WSIB
