About the Hotel The Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is a 128-room hotel, owned and operated by Easton's Group of Hotels. Located just off of the 401 hwy, it features 2 meeting rooms, the Bistro restaurant and a pool with a 100-ft water slide.

Courtyard by Marriott Kingston is looking for someone who is friendly and professional to join our Guest Services team!

What will you be doing?

Registering guests, issuing room keys, providing information on hotel services and room location; preparing for group check-in and out and VIP arrivals;

becoming informed of events / functions in the hotel during the shift. Answering phones promptly and courteously.

  • Accurately processing all cash and credit card transactions per established procedures including but not limited to posting all charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposits, and counting / securing assigned banks.
  • Responding appropriately to guest requests; promotes hotel services, facilities, and outlets; providing guests with information such as local attractions and directions to increase satisfaction.

Making appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction.

  • Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness standards in the kitchen area that meet or exceed the provincial and local Health Board inspection and hotel requirements.
  • Promoting teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with others

What are the requirements for this role?

  • Basic reading, writing and math abilities.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus one-year front desk / guest service experience. Some college is preferred.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and / or holidays.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
