As a member of the Production Team the General Operator will report to the Department Supervisor. The job role involves being responsible for processing production in their department and ensuring that hygiene, quality and health and safety standards are maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Machinery and equipment safety checks as necessary;
- Maintaining appropriate records for department;
- To fulfil daily production requirements as instructed by the Production Supervisor;
- Responsible for keeping downline and waste to a minimum;
- Engage in ensuring compliance with relevant sections of BRC & Customer food quality standards to ensure compliance;
- Work with Operational Team Leader to meet the department goals and your agreed KPI’s.
The Person :
- Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Experience of record keeping with attention to detail;
- An awareness of health and safety legislation ;
- Demonstrate excellent communication and problem solving skills;
- Good level of written and spoken English.
Preference will be given to those with :
- Experience working in food manufacturing;
- A valid forklift licence.
Normal working pattern is Monday to Friday 40 hours per week with variable start and finish times depending on business requirements.
