Job Description

• Sorting, picking, and processing scrap metals
• Clean and inspect recycling yard by sweeping and raking materials and debris
• Assist with performing routine maintenance
• Perform other general labourer duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A Minimum of 1 year of experience is required in a general labourer role
• Experience in the metal scrap industry will be considered as an asset
• Experience in using machines like Lift Truck / Forklift, Skid steer will be considered as an asset
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
• Successful candidates must be highly motivated and work with little supervision

HEALTH AND SAFETY

• Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or near miss’ incidents to management

HOURS OF WORK

• Permanent full-time position
• 44 hours per week, able to work extended hours / weekends when deemed necessary
