We are currently seeking motivated Packaging associates to join our team for a large Medical produce Manufacturer located in Ancaster, Ontario.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Ensure safe work conditions and practices as outlined in the company Safety, Health & Environmental policies.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for Good Production Practices (GPP).
• Weigh and package products according to SOPs, ensuring accurate weights and record keeping.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Maintain an on-hand inventory of packaging supplies and ensure it is sufficient to meet the demand.
• Clean and sanitize packaging rooms and equipment in compliance with SOPs.
• Participate in Inventory Counts, as needed.
• Understand and operate label software and printers.
• Perform all duties according to SOP, GMP and all other established safety standards and company policy.

Qualifications :

• Knowledge with GPP and GMP is preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role within a pharmaceutical or manufacturing packaging environment.
• Interpersonal skills are required for daily interactions with shop floor personnel.
• Manual functions require good hand / eye co-ordination.
• Position requires standing, lifting and walking throughout the day.

Working Conditions :

This is a greenhouse working environment, which may have continuous exposure to heat, light and humidity.

• Position requires standing, bending, lifting, and walking throughout the day.
• May be required to work on weekends and during holidays, from time to time.
