Doman Treated Woods - Prince George is a wood preserving plant.

SUMMARY

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Forklift Operator is responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling products for customer orders, loading orders onto trucks / railcars, loading and unloading infeed and outfeed for production when needed.

Expected Contributions

• Loads and unloads building material supplies safely and promptly onto and from delivery trucks.
• Accurately, efficiently, and safely picks and assembles customer orders for staging.
• Set up lumber for wrapping
• Loads and unloads treating carts.
• Loads and unloads Production infeed and outfeeds when needed.
• Assists in general labour tasks as required.
• Maintains a clean and organized outside yard.
• Adheres to all work safety rules and regulations.
• Adheres to customer service commitments.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Forklift Certification is required.
• Minimum one (1) year experience on forklifts is desirable.
• Experience working in a lumber mill or lumber yard is desirable.
• Must have own steel-toed boots.
• Familiar with pulling and staging orders is desirable.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms.
• Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift.
• Punctual and reliable for shifts.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

EDUCATION

• High school graduation is preferred.
• Background in Forestry, Wood Processing is an asset

HOURS OF WORK

Monday to Thursday 6 : 00 am 4 : 30 pm OR Monday to Friday 7am-3 : 30pm

Work Location : 10553 Willow Cale Forest Road, Prince George, BC V2N 4T6.

Transportation : Must have own reliable transportation. The site is not located on a bus route.
