Provides meal service to residents, staff, and other customers in accordance with approved standards, departmental policies, procedures and time schedules.
Delivers and collects food / dish carts. Processes soiled dishes and utensils; cleans equipment and serving areas. Performs other related duties.
Qualifications
Education :
Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent is required
Must have the ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language and to follow written and oral directions
Experience :
Previous related experience in a health care setting or hospitality industry is desired
Certificate in Food Safe is an asset
Personal Competencies :
Must pass CapitalCare literacy test
Ability to follow and adhere to policies and procedures ofCapitalCare; safety procedures for Infection Control, WHMIS and back care
Possess good communication skills to ensure effective and responsible information exchange with co-workers, supervisors, staff and others.
