Summary

GFL is looking for a Full-Time Field Foreman to support our operations in Niagara Falls, ON. They are responsible for reporting to the Marine and Industrial Superintendent, the Field Foreman (referred internally as a Project Manager) will be responsible for leading and managing all assigned projects in the field, including the assigned labourer staff.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Represent the Company in a professional and respectful manner while dealing with customers, sub-contractors, internal managers and assigned staff, regulatory bodies and the public
  • Provide job specific operational and procedural training to labour staff
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental compliance is maintained on work sites at all times
  • Accurately complete and submit all required paper work in a timely manner
  • Participate in the Company on-call system as scheduled or required
  • Note : Travel is required and may require overnight travel up to two (2) weeks in a hotel or sailing on a ship at any one time

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies :

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required
  • Previous lead hand or supervisory experience is considered a definite asset
  • A minimum of a G license is mandatory
  • A police clearance will be required
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Must be able to plan, organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks to ensure projects are completed on time and per budget
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to interact with various levels of management and external customer representatives
