Responsibilities :

• Build relationships with feedlot operations and increase customer base by providing customized nutritional solutions
• Remain up to date with industry trends and cutting-edge technology to remain at the top of the field with beef nutritional research, management practices, applications and approaches
• Provide consultative strategic advice to improve customers operations by applying working knowledge of commercial feedlot practices, forage quality / management, and beef growth-enhancing technologies
• Attend relevant tradeshows, conferences, and develop and maintain industry relationships

Qualifications :

• Experience in the Canadian beef industry, including feedlot experience
• General knowledge of the north American beef processing industry
• Agriculture sales experience an asset
• Self-starter who works well independently while positively contributing to the team’s growth
• Positive attitude with strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to build strong relationships internally, and externally
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ruminant nutrition, beef management practices, and the willingness to learn and grow this knowledge
• Exceptional time management, organizational skills and resourceful
• High degree of ethics in all decisions while maintaining honesty and integrity
• Flexible, adaptable and thrives in an evolving environment
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
