JobSummary :
TheFacilities Technician is responsible for the implementation and adherence ofbest practices around facility maintenance at our various sites and is a full-timeposition.
This role is responsible for conducting and coordinating routine andnon-routine maintenance activities for all Phoenix facilities and providesoversight to safety and efficiently performs work activities.
It handles various areas of businessrepair and aids in the implementation of maintenance procedures.

WorkPerformed :
Facilities Maintenance :
- Promotes and maintains a welcoming environment;for residents, guests and staff maintaining a positive demeanor wheninteracting with others.
- Ensures that our facilities are maintained to ahigh standard of care, ensuring we meet licensing and safety standards.
- Provides overall maintenance repairs and project coordination to ensurethat work is planned and executed safely and efficiently.
- Works with the supervisor and management teams to document and align processesfor outside services.
- Liaises with contractors for site work that is beyond the scope of thePhoenix maintenance team. can
- Oversees the development of maintenance procedures. Makes recommendations for the development of newand / or modifications to existing procedures.
- Performs on-site work scoping and estimating for routine and non-routinemaintenance activities.
- Assists in implementing improvements to facility performance andequipment maintenance strategies.
- Assists inturnaround planning and scheduling as required.
- Acts ason-site management representative and liaison when management team is off site.
- Respondsto maintenance and repair requests, emergency or otherwise.
- Proactively inspect grounds, facilities, andequipment to determine if repairs or preventive maintenance is required. (Is there more regarding the grounds, i.
e. Landscaping, gutter androof cleaning, exterior window washing, leaf blowing, snow removal, etc.?)
Responds to and plans for completion of maintenancetasks (more than just maintenance requested, ie. Service request vs Maintenancerequests?
as requested by their Manager.
- Detects, identifies and repairs buildingdeficiencies, in coordination with Manager.
- Completes safety checks and conducts routinemaintenance on systems and equipment, including maintaining records of this work.
- Performs generalmaintenance tasks for the buildings, such as painting, power washing, majorclean ups, event setup / take down.
- Assists with administrative tasks including but notlimited to maintaining inventory system, filing, records keeping, andpurchasing system.
- Otherduties that may be assigned.
WorkingConditions :
- Abilityto do work inside and outdoors, and significant physical activity, includingheavy lifting, climbing ladders and stairs, and standing for extended periodsof time.
- Commitmentto collaboration and integration with Society’s administration and staff (not aWorking Condition, better in Approach to Work?)
- The abilityto function independently while managing multiple tasks and the ability toadapt to change is an ongoing expectation of this position.
- Flexibilityto work during evenings and weekends, and be on call, as needed.
Qualifications :
- Academic : Successful completion of high school.
- Driver’s License : Class 5license accompanied by suitable drivers abstract.
- First Aid Certification.
- 1 year experience in a similar role.
