We are currently seekingan Environmental Regulatory & Permitting Specialist to joinour team based out of our Edmonton or Whitecourt office.

This is afulltime permanent position that is focused on environmentalregulatory applications and related projects. Project work isteambased safety driven and is completed for the energy and forestsectors and private landowners throughout theprovince.

PositionResponsibilities

  • This positionis accountable for safe and efficient projectwork;
  • Leadand manage project deliverables and working relationships withWoodlands peers management regulators andclients;
  • Maintainaccurate records with exceptional organizational skills meetingdeadlines and being able to prioritize on an ongoingbasis.

PositionRequirements andQualifications

  • Experiencedin Alberta Environment and Parks Alberta Energy Regulator andDepartment of Fisheries and Oceans online permitting applicationand report submission systems andprocesses;
  • Experiencedin the enforcement of or direct application of the Public Lands ActWater Act Federal Fisheries Act Species at Risk Act Alberta WetlandPolicy fish rescue licences and all associated regulations codesand conditions;
  • Experiencedin current best management practices and regulatory requirementsfor environmental permitting applications and reportingrequirements;
  • Fieldexperience in water and fishrelated enforcement and / orassessments and construction practices.
  • Ability todemonstrate leadership quality safety customer service focus and ahigh level of attention to detail with exceptional prioritizationskills;
  • UniversityDegree or technical diploma in natural resources includingenvironmental law courses and 5 years of fieldexperience.
