Main responsibilities

• Ensure communications with MU2 management team on environmental monitoring
• Enforce work and operations standards and environmental regulations
• Enforce work and operations under the requirements specified in authorizations obtained from various government authorities.
• Monitor to minimize alterations in physical components of the environment (soil, water, vegetation), including the deforestation and construction
• Overseeing the management of waste and contamination
• Enforce the guide to the application of the regulation respecting the sustainable development of forests
• Document daily reports of activities

Exigences et conditions

Qualifications

• Any training or certification in forestry / environmental studies etc., will be considered an asset as well as any experience in the field
• ASP Safety Card
• Driver’s License

Priority will be given to Mi'gmaq candidates.

Skills and Competencies

• Must be a team player
• Must have experience or interest in environmental studies
• Excellent communication (verbal and written)
• A certain amount of physical fitness as there will be walking to do
• The candidate must be punctual
• The job may require work in the evening or weekend as well so the candidate will have to be willing to work a flexible schedule at times

Entre 25 $ et 30 $ / h

• Location - MU2 Wind Farm
• Termed contract for the duration of the MU2 project
• Starting date Spring 2025 with a possibility of a few weeks during the winter 2024
• Salary scale $25 - $30 / hour as per experience / qualifications
• Short on the job training may be available
