Check out this great opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist! Our client, a world class manufacturer with multiple divisions, is currently recruiting for an HSE Specialist.

The HSE Specialist will establish and promote the maintenance of a safe, accident free, environmentally sound, and healthy work environment.

Minimum requirements :

Minimum 3 to 5 years HSE Specialist experience

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred

Experience working within a manufacturing environment

The ability to engage and motivate plant personnel

Responsibilities include :

Responsible for compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 documented systems and authority to initiate appropriate action to prevent nonconformity.

Implement Health & Safety program to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.

Reporting conditions to supervision that may adversely impact the safety of employees, contractors, or the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.

Participating in pollution prevention / waste reduction initiatives, working on cross-functional projects.

Lead / instruct HSE training courses per the site training schedule to ensure compliance and improve HSE customer service, employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts in HSE operations.
