Working out of the Facilities Management Department in Cornwall, On, the Journeyman Electrician will provide centrally delivered maintenance and emergency response to Olymel Facility.

• The maintenance of electrical equipment and services in assigned facilities.
• The repair and / or replacement of electrical equipment and services in assigned facilities.
• The installation of new electrical services in assigned facilities.
• To work with the Maintenance Supervisor on the purchase of electrical equipment and supplies.
• The development and maintenance of effective working relationships with staff in assigned facilities.
• Ensure that all work is of high quality and meets electrical codes and professional standards.
• Ensure that all electrical work is done in a safe manner.
• Adhere to all Bio-security protocols.
• Timely response to emergency situations.
• Train and mentor apprentices
• Other related duties.

Journeyman Electrician Certificate

At least 2 years experience in the electrical field

Strong basic electrical skills

Experience with 600 volt equipment

Experience with preventative maintenance programs.

Exceptional organizational skills

Effective oral and written communications skills.

A valid driver’s license.

Ability to work alone.

Strong interpersonal skills.
