Job Requirements :

• Valid First Aid / CPR Certification (please upload certificate or proof of registration in upcoming course to your resume)
• Light Lifting (up to 20 pounds)
• Medium Lifting (up to 50 pounds)

• Toileting
• Personal Care
• Use of Assistive Technology
• Tube Feeding
• Physiotherapy Follow-up
• Seizure Management
• Behaviour Management Support (Assist with implementation and tracking of behaviour targets, De-escalation strategies, Foster pro-social and conflict resolution skills, Implement calming strategies)

Assets :

• Experience Working with Autism
• A related diploma or certificate from a recognized post secondary institution, including a formal practicum placement will be considered an asset.

Rate of Pay :

This is a 10-month position with a work schedule in accordance with the school year calendar which includes time off at Christmas, March Break and Summer break.

Daily Hours of Work :

50% Position 3.5 hours (includes one 15 minute paid break)

80% Position 6.1 hours (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks)

100% Position 7.5 hours (includes ½ hour unpaid lunch and two 15 minute paid breaks)
