BATTLE RIVER SCHOOL DIVISION is seeking applications for the following :

POSITION : Part-Time Educational Assistant - Sifton School

LOCATION : Camrose, Alberta

There is a need for a part-time (0.50) Educational Assistant to provide assistance, working primarily with students of various needs in our Tuesday-Thursday English Kindergarten class.

This position consists of 6 hours per day on Tuesdays, Thursdays and alternating Fridays This position will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is found.

Preference will be given to applicants with :

• An Educational Assistant certificate, and / or experience working as an Educational Assistant
• Training and / or experience in working with students with special needs is an asset
• Ability to work independently and as a team member with classroom teachers under the supervision of school administrators
• Experience in assisting with the implementation of Individual Program Plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence and patience
• A proven ability to work as a team member
• Be open minded and willing to learn
• CPR / First Aid
