Valo Networks is seeking an experienced Driller Locator to join our team of industry experts offering state-of-the-art broadband solutions to enable next-generation capabilities.

As a Driller / Locator, you will play a role in the underground utility locating and drilling process. This position requires expertise in operating drilling equipment and utilizing locating technologies to accurately identify and mark the location of buried utilities.

As our Driller Locator, your daily responsibilities will include :

• Operating equipment including Ditch Witch and Vermeer machines along with small tool operation
• Interpreting project plans, diagrams and locates
• Collaborating with team members to coordinate drilling and locating activities
• Conducting pre-drilling assessments and surveys to determine potential underground hazards
• Performing maintenance and routine inspections on drilling and locating equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment
• Recording and maintaining accurate documentation of drilling and locating activities, including site logs and reports
• Collaborating with utility companies and contractors to resolve any conflicts or issues related to utility locations

On your resume, we are seeking the following qualifications :

• Previous experience in directional drilling and locating within telecom construction or a related industry
• Hands-on experience in operating Ditch Witch and Vermeer machines and other small tools
• Fundamental understanding of telecom and fiber optic installation processes
• Proven ability to interpret plans, diagrams, and locate information accurately
