Data Governance Consultant / Specialist - Capital Markets

Overview :

Our client in the Capital Markets sector is implementing several elements of data governance across a wide array of capital markets data.

They seek a strong data governance resource to help define and identify key elements of data governance and integrate them into their primary data tool, Collibra.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Stakeholder Identification and Role Definition :

• Identify key stakeholders and roles across various business domains.
• Complete the Domain Ownership Model (DOM).
• Write the Domain Working Group (DWG) charter.

2. Business Process and Data Flow :

• Identify critical business processes supported by the domains.
• Develop system / data flow diagrams.

3. Collibra Implementation :

• Create Source and Target Communities, Domains, and User Groups in Collibra.
• Identify, onboard, and register domain data assets in Collibra.

4. Critical Data Elements :

• Identify and document Critical Data Elements that support downstream business processes and data use cases.
• Collaborate with the Global Banking and Markets (GBM) data services team to register Critical Data Elements in Collibra.

5. Business Data Architecture (BDA) :

• Work with business domains and IT custodians to document system-level Business Data Architecture.
• Collaborate with domain IT custodians to document table and column-level Business Data Architecture.
• Work with the GBM Data Services BDA team to implement documented BDA in Collibra.

6. Data Quality (DQ) :

• Work with business domains and IT custodians to identify and document business and technical Data Quality rules.
• Collaborate with the GBM Data Services team to implement documented Data Quality rules.

7. Data Quality Issue Management (DQIM) :

• Identify candidates for Data Quality Issue Management roles.
• Collaborate with the DQIM team to register these roles in the Governance Console (GC) for each domain.

Requirements :

• Experience in Capital Markets data.
• Some experience with Collibra is preferred.
• Prior experience in data governance projects.
