Reporting to the Manager, Facilities and Maintenance, the Custodian is responsible for various services to include, but are not limited to cleaning equipment, floors, workstations, and public facilities using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards.

The Custodian is accountable to ensure all areas of the factory are clean following the 6 Sigma guidelines while maintaining a safe working environment through the Occupational Health and Safety act.

Other responsibilities may be directed by the business or assigned by management.

Essential Functions :

• Cleaning of equipment, machinery, floors, washrooms
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, buff floors using heavy equipment and other tools
• Cleaning walls, windows, bathrooms

Education and Technical Requirements :

• Completion of Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Industrial, or commercial cleaning experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety, WHMIS and use of PPE
• 1 Year cleaning experience an asset
