Cook Required for Seniors' Living Facility

We are looking for someone with at least 3 years' experience in cooking who has a flexible, willing, and positive attitude .

The right applicant will have provincial certification in food safety and hygiene and standard first aid certification. A current satisfactory criminal record check is required.

Journeyman Cook certification is considered an asset.

About the position :

• This opportunity is for our lodge in Picture Butte, Alberta
• This is a permanent Part-Time position.
• The position offers an average of 19 hours per week over a 6-week cycle, but more shifts may be offered based on availability.
• Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• Shifts to cover in this position are : 5 : 30am to 1 : 30pm, 8am to 1pm, and / or10am to 6pm
• After 6 months of employment, cost sharing benefits are offered with this position.

Basic Responsibilities of the position include :

• Prepping and cooking for 50+ people per meal
• Following the established menu plan
• Maintaining a clean and well-organized kitchen.
• Ordering food and kitchen inventory.
• Liaising with residents by assisting with serving
• Cleanup in the dining room as required.
