Reporting to the VP of Operations, this role will work cross functionally across many departments to look at approving processes, and creating efficiencies.

The successful candidate will be able to build rapport and communicate effectively across all levels of employees.

Responsibilities :

• Improve processes by capturing information, from ERP and employees
• Manage investigation process and create corrective actions
• Create new processes
• Facilitate training and manage cross functional teams to educate employees on new processes
• Support shop floor in the areas of process and quality
• Find opportunities for scrap reduction, and equipment downtime

Requirements

• Engineering (Process, Industrial, or Mechanical) or Science background
• 8-10 years experience in manufacturing
• General knowledge of metallurgy : Aluminum, Brass, Stainless Steel
• Experience with automotive manufacturing ISO / IATF 16949
• Lean manufacturing training in 6 Sigma, Black Belt would be an asset
• Leadership skills
• Ability to communicate
• Demonstrated ability to explain how efficiencies were created and scrap was decreased in a previous role
