Job Title : Communications Specialist

Contract Duration : 12 months (Extension possible)

Pay range : C$55 - 70 / hr

Location : Toronto, ON

Work Type : Hybrid, onsite twice a week.

Are you a skilled communicator with a passion for driving successful business initiatives? We're seeking a talented Communications Specialist to join our team and play a vital role in shaping our brand and engaging our audience.

What You'll Do :

As a Communications Specialist, you'll be responsible for :

• Developing and implementing comprehensive communication plans for various business initiatives, including sales campaigns, conferences, program launches, and technology releases.
• Providing strategic communications counsel to project teams and advising partners on communication strategy.
• Collaborating with communication colleagues across the organization to identify efficiencies and create tailored content for employee communications.
• Drafting and editing a variety of content , including remarks for senior leaders, newsletters, business updates, presentations, and thought leadership pieces.
• Overseeing regular communication vehicles such as newsletters.
• Contributing to executive communications development as needed.
• Developing standards for content in terms of look and feel, tone, focus, audience relevance, and more.

Required Qualifications :

• 7+ years of relevant communications experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Management experience.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills.
• Strong presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working with senior management and executives.
• Change management experience.
• Experience in the wealth management industry.
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
• Experience in mutual fund or asset management.
