About

Our client is seeking a dynamic andexperienced Business DevelopmentRepresentative to join their growingteam. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercialconstruction with a focus on generatingnew business opportunities maintaining client relationships anddriving growth in both commercial and residential projectdevelopment.

The role will be based in Ottawa andcandidates must have prior experience working in the regionsconstruction industry.

KeyResponsibilities :

  • BusinessDevelopment : Identify and develop new businessopportunities in the commercialconstruction sector including office buildingsretail and industrial projects with an additional focus on residential projectdevelopment .
  • ClientRelationship Management : Build and maintain strongrelationships with existing and potential clients acting as themain point of contact to ensure client satisfaction and projectsuccess.
  • SalesStrategy : Develop and execute sales strategies aimedat expanding the companys portfolio in both commercial andresidential markets.
  • MarketResearch : Conduct market analysis to identifyindustry trends opportunities and competitors in the Ottawa construction market andleverage insights to enhance business developmentefforts.
  • ProposalDevelopment : Prepare and present proposals bids andpresentations to prospective clients showcasing the companysstrengths and capabilities in commercial and residentialconstructionprojects.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams including project managersestimators and site supervisors to align business development goalswith project .
  • AccountManagement : Oversee ongoing projects to ensure theymeet client expectations resolve issues as they arise and maintainstrong client relationships throughout the projectlifecycle.
  • Networking : Attend industry events trade shows and conferences to represent thecompany and grow its network within the Ottawa constructioncommunity.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of57 years of experience in businessdevelopment within the commercialconstruction sector.
  • Provenexperience in residential projectdevelopment is a strongasset.
  • Strong understanding of the Ottawa construction market and a trackrecord of developing business in theregion.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability tobuild and maintain longterm relationships with clients andstakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implementeffective sales strategies that alignwith company goals.
  • Strong problemsolving anddecisionmaking abilities with a clientcentric approach to managingrelationships.
  • Experience preparing andpresenting proposals bids and reports toclients.
  • Familiarity with construction project management andthe ability to collaborate effectively with internalteams.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and salestracking software.
