As a Coil Slitter Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining coil slitting machinery to process metal coils into specified widths.

This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Operate coil slitting machines to cut large metal coils into narrower strips according to specifications.
• Adjust machine settings for different material types and thicknesses.
• Inspect finished products for adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Perform routine quality checks and maintain accurate production records.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to management immediately.
• Work closely with team members to coordinate production schedules and ensure timely completion of orders.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding production progress and any issues that arise.
• Use forklifts or other equipment to move and position coils for slitting.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to prevent damage.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Standing for extended periods and working in a manufacturing environment.
