About
Responsibilities :
- Study work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and drawings to plan machining processes.
- Check and manage inventory levels, place orders when necessary, and anticipate stock needs.
- Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including setting zero and reference points.
- Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, and attachments.
- Load stock into position by operating feed mechanisms.
- Confirm settings by measuring positions, inspecting first-run parts, and checking sample workpieces.
- Ensure adherence to specifications during drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures and regulations.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain communication and consistency across shifts by documenting and sharing actions and progress.
- Keep records of actions and results by completing production and quality logs.
- Stay updated on job-related knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in CNC machining is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of G-code programming and CNC machine controls.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
