Company matching contributions to retirement savings plan (RSP) Comprehensive group benefit plan including medical, dental & life insurance coverage Employee Assistance Program MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES : Interpret engineering drawings to determine specifications, set up and operating requirements Complete first run inspection and complete spot checks for conformance to specifications Ensure effective production of quality parts by completing in-process and final checks using gauges and measuring equipment Set up and operate a CNC Lathe to produce finished components / parts Work to defined tolerances Write, edit and load CNC programs Observe numerical displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheets to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates and speeds or machining cuts.

Shift : Afternoon Shift Available Monday to Thursday : between 4 : 00 pm to 2 : 30 am Training to be completed on day shift Monday to Friday 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE : Post-Secondary education in General Machining, CNC Programming, or Mechanical focus would be preferred Minimum 5 years’ of relevant hands-on machining experience, preference in a machine shop setting Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings, sketches and verbal instructions Strong in math and computer skills Ability to use precision measuring tools to ensure specifications and tight tolerances are met.
