Position Overview The District is hiring three regular full-time Bylaw Enforcement Officers to perform inspectional and regulatory work related to the enforcement of a variety of bylaws and to assist other departments with bylaw enforcement.
prepare reports and records and gather evidence and appear in Court as required. The work involves considerable public relations contact and requires that you have good customer service skills in order to respond and problem solve with tact and diplomacy.
The successful candidate will also have :
prepare routine reports and perform simple clerical tasks.
Qualifications
Completion of Grade 12 plus sound experience in inspectional and enforcement work, preferably the Justice Institute of , Levels 1 and 2 OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
A valid ’s Licence plus eligibility to obtain RCMP security clearance is required.
Details
Salary : The pay range for this unionized position is to per hour (2024 rates).
Hours of Work : 8-hour workday. Hours of work will be in accordance with Schedule C of the Collective Agreement and daily shifts will be either 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm or 1 : 00pm-9 : 30pm, based on a workweek of Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.
