Bilingual Membership Coordinator (English / French)

Hours : 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday

Office Model : Hybrid, 2 days in office and 3 days from home

FIT :

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English and French (this will be tested in both languages)
  • Post-secondary is a must (university preferred)
  • Detail-oriented and ability to analyze and organize
  • Friendly and team oriented
  • Personable and a great communicator
  • Previous experience in membership or not-for-profit is a definite asset

What does the position entail? The ideal candidate will be customer / member-service oriented, have a keen eye for detail, and possess strong organization, communication and strategic thinking skills.

Prior experience in membership and / or non-profit environment is preferred.

What are the job responsibilities?

  • Managing the membership renewal process
  • Working collaboratively with the Executive team and Finance team to support renewal and fee reminder messaging
  • Working collaboratively with Communications to keep member-facing materials current and impactful
  • Facilitating the new member onboarding process through a welcome and orientation process in coordination with members of the Management Team
  • Maintaining the membership database and actively ensuring data is current, correct and complete
  • Proactively communicating the value of membership to new, existing, and potential members
  • Coordinating and facilitating member presentations and other opportunities for outreach
  • Supporting the development and execution of growth strategies to increase membership and strengthen retention

What do you bring?

  • Fluent communication skills in English and French (written and spoken)
  • Undergrad degree or college equivalent
  • Previous membership coordination and / or experience at a non-profit organization is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized and skilled in database management
  • Personable and friendly manner with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and to reach out to senior representatives of member companies and organizations
  • Ability to prioritize inquiries, requests, and processes with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills and prioritization skills
