Bilingual Customer Service Representative
Our client, a leader in the Canadian insurance industry, is seeking 20 Bilingual Customer Service Representatives to support their Retirement Services team.
This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension or conversion to full-time. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring office presence on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Candidates may work from the Montréal office or the Halifax office.
What is in it for you :
- Hourly salary $24.78.
- 6-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
- Full-time position : 37.50 hours per week.
- Hybrid work : 3 office days, from Tuesday to Thursday.
- Rotational schedule (AST) : Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 9 pm.
Responsibilities :
- Handle inbound calls from retirement plan members, offering support on account details and web / app navigation.
- Respond to complex customer queries, providing accurate and complete information.
- Process transactions and assist members with relevant forms.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the team to meet service targets, including Average Handling Time (AHT), schedule adherence, and quality assurance metrics.
- Ensure excellent customer service in all interactions and take a proactive approach to problem-solving.
What you will need to succeed :
- Post-secondary education is preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of customer service or administrative experience.
- Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) to support clients in both languages.
- Experience working in an office or hybrid environment.
- Familiarity with working in a KPI-driven environment.
- Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to interact professionally with a wide range of personalities.
- Positive team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Knowledge of Canadian retirement products (preferred but not required).
- Understanding of financial services concepts (preferred).
