What does this role do?
- Read and interpret shop drawings and job instruction documents,
- Perform precision measurements,
- Knowledge of and ability to identify materials ex. MDF, Particle Board, Plastic Laminate and all other building materials.
- Inspect for defects / imperfections before cutting to make efficient use of materials,
- Working knowledge of machine operations (setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, lock-out procedures),
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment,
- Understand and follow standard safety rules and procedures.
What is required for the role?
- Must be organized and able to prioritize work activities based upon primary duties; and
- Is inquisitive by nature and driven by the "pursuit of excellence" to consistently ensure constant growth and achievement.
- Demonstrates good initiative working safely, reporting and participating in Environmental Health and Safety.
ASSETS :
- 1-2 years experience in a wood or manufacturing shop,
- Previous experience as a machine operator.
