What does this role do?

• Read and interpret shop drawings and job instruction documents,
• Perform precision measurements,
• Knowledge of and ability to identify materials ex. MDF, Particle Board, Plastic Laminate and all other building materials.
• Inspect for defects / imperfections before cutting to make efficient use of materials,
• Working knowledge of machine operations (setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, lock-out procedures),
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment,
• Understand and follow standard safety rules and procedures.

What is required for the role?

• Must be organized and able to prioritize work activities based upon primary duties; and
• Is inquisitive by nature and driven by the "pursuit of excellence" to consistently ensure constant growth and achievement.
• Demonstrates good initiative working safely, reporting and participating in Environmental Health and Safety.

ASSETS :

• 1-2 years experience in a wood or manufacturing shop,
• Previous experience as a machine operator.
