Barista - The EveryPerson Café (EP Café)

Location : 139 Bank Street, Ottawa, ON

Pay : $18 $19 per hour

Positions Available :

• 1 Morning Shift Barista / All Rounder (6 : 30 AM to 2 : 30 PM
• 1 Evening Shift Barista / All Rounder
• 1 Weekend Barista / All Rounder
• 1 On-Call Barista / All Rounder

The EveryPerson Café (EP Café) is an inclusive, cozy space located in the heart of downtown Ottawa. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming atmosphere for all, offering a carefully curated menu with vegan, gluten-free, and traditional options.

We’re looking for passionate baristas who are excited to deliver excellent coffee and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities :

• Masterful Espresso Crafting : Expertly prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, as well as teas and cold beverages.
• Customer Experience : Greet customers warmly, take orders, and ensure personalized service for a memorable visit.
• Food Service : Serve light menu items including baked goods, sandwiches, and other treats, with a focus on quality and presentation.
• Product Knowledge : Educate customers about our premium coffee blends, teas, and food items, providing recommendations when needed.
• Maintain Cleanliness : Adhere to regular cleaning schedules, ensuring a tidy and inviting environment for both customers and staff.
• Efficient Operations : Accurately process orders through the POS system, handle cash, and restock inventory as needed.

Qualifications :

• Barista Experience : 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced café environment, with proficiency in operating espresso machines.
• Customer Service : Friendly, engaging, and able to build rapport with a diverse customer base.
• Flexibility : Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, or on-call, depending on the role.
• Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 pounds.
