Tomlinson Environmental Services is currently hiring a AZ / DZ Truck Drivers / Operators for its Industrial Waste Division.

DUTIES AND RESPONSILITIES :
- Operate vehicle in safe and efficient manner in accordance with Tomlinson’s Safe Operating Practices and MTO (Ministry of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, municipal, provincial, and federal laws.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection, oversee all aspects of vehicle systems and condition of equipment, and document checks on standard VIR (Vehicle Inspection Report)
- Conduct safety inspections & mandated daily maintenance checks on equipment; Immediately report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to Operations Team or Dispatch.
- Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for the transporting of dangerous goods.
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Administer bills of lading / manifests and manually or electronically maintain log books
- Notifiy Operations Team of any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage.
- Communicates customer requests to Operations Team or Dispatch.
- Performs all duties as scheduled by Operations Team or Dispatch and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
- Follows route assignments as directed and completes end of day documentation and the Driver Check In process.

REQUIREMENTS :
- Must have valid AZ or DZ Drivers Licence with minimum 3 years of experience
- Clean drivers abstract and CVOR required
- Industrial cleaning or waste experience considered an asset
- Must be prepared to work flexible hours, responding to any after-hour calls and weekends (when required)
- Ability to deal with customers onsite
- Perform safety inspections on equipment ensuring compliance with workplace safety programs; must have a strong safety mindset
