Banded Peak Brewing is looking for an Assistant Brewer to join the growing production team. This position will be full-time and report to the Lead Brewer.

Prior brewery is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is a reliable self-starter who is comfortable working on their own while supporting the policies, goals and safety practices of Banded Peak Brewing.

ROLE SUMMARY :

The Assistant Brewer will learn from the Lead Brewer and other members of the production team how to perform various tasks to facilitate daily production requirements at the brewery, including but not limited to Wort Production, Brewhouse CIP, maintaining accurate paperwork, Yeast Handling and Managing water usage in Brewery.

SHIFT : Full-Time (Rotating Shifts, 6am-2pm / 12pm-8pm, Mon-Fri / Tue-Sat)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Follow SOPs to execute brewery process according to company policy.
• Consistently follow all guidelines and routines around safety, quality, and sanitization.
• Execute duties efficiently in line with operation's beer production schedule.
• Participate and engage with other internal brewery groups as needed including R&D, Safety and QA.
• Increase beer culture in the brewery and outside by sharing your knowledge and passion of beer.
• Positive representation of Banded Peak at internal and external events.
• Troubleshooting, technical maintenance and quality assurance

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

• A passion for craft beer
• Flexible schedule is must
• Valid driver’s license is a must
• Self starter and independent worker
• Goal oriented
• Previous experience at a commercial production brewery is an asset
• Formal degree from an accredited brewery program is an asset
• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field is an asset
• Forklift certification is an asset
