THE ROLE
The Arena Operator and Facility Maintainer plays an important role, providing quality services and facilities to our military members, their families and the community.
Imagine spending time with a great group of people and sharing your passions. Each day will be different as you support the day-to-day operations of the Arena and the sports fields.
You will drive the Zamboni, maintaining optimal ice conditions, and prepare and line the baseball fields and other sport fields.
We are looking for dynamic, independent and motivated individuals to join our team.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND some years of experience in a related field
Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification
Valid Driver’s Licence (BC)
Experience
In operating an arena or similar facility
In ice maintenance procedures
In maintenance and lining of sports fields
In operating ice rink equipment
In operating outdoor facility maintenance equipment
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset
