The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) is seeking an Apprenticeship Services Consultant for the Regina office and surrounding area until September 2025.

This position provides a consultative and advisory service, related to apprenticeship training, tradesperson's certification, the enforcement of The Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Act and regulations.

• The successful candidate will evaluate trade experience of tradespersons, apprentices, and journeypersons; monitor apprenticeship training both in school and on the job;
• provide informational and counselling services by phone and in-person to a diverse clientele; administer trade examinations;
• visit job sites; promote apprenticeship and trades careers to students, tradespersons, and employers through various venues;

complete special assignments related to Commission representative workforce initiatives; and manage assigned work areas.

• Our candidate of choice will have knowledge of work-based training principles and the apprenticeship and trade certification process;
• will have strong time-management skills; will be a strong writer / communicator being able to communicate information orally and in writing to a variety of audiences in a manner that persuades, convinces, builds support, educates, and promotes understanding;

will be able to conduct visits at job sites; will be required to travel frequently throughout the province, often in adverse weather conditions, to rural / isolated areas and to work away from home for varied periods of time.

To qualify for this position, you will possess a Journeyperson Certificate. You will also possess a Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent, and a current and valid driver’s license.
