The Role

PacLease EKW Calgary, a division of Edmonton Kenworth Ltd., is seeking a 1st or 2nd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Truck Technician, who is responsible for performing minor maintenance work in accordance with dealer and factory standards, preparing service documentation in accordance with company policy, and performing quality work while adhering to the work assigned to them by the on floor supervisor.

Responsibilities

Adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems

Install new or replacement parts according to specifications

Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work done meets manufacturers’ specification and legislated regulations

Assure completion of all repairs, maintenance requirements and / or modifications to the truck or other assigned vehicle

Stay abreast of technology and attend training as it becomes available

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of

  • A High school diploma
  • A Heavy Equipment Technician Apprenticeship Certification with Heavy Truck experience
  • Minimum 2 years training in a Heavy Duty Truck fleet or shop environment
  • Valid Class 1 or Class 3 drivers license considered an asset
