and Take Initiative with these Responsibilities :
- Maintain and work collaboratively with the College’s Alumni Association Board of Directors
- Coordinate a dedicated group of volunteers to help implement alumni related projects.
- Implement and build the Stay Connected program(s) in order to maintain and build the alumni database.
- Coordinate all Board meetings; develop agendas and other materials as required.
- As required, provide assistance to support Board secretary with meeting logistics and minutes.
- Manage all alumni-focused events and fundraising initiatives, including the coordination and implementation of
- Annual alumni giving campaign. As appropriate, manage a portfolio of alumni donors through a Moves Management structure.
- Annual Cougars Classic fundraising golf tournament
- Annual alumni awards (Brandon and Parkland campuses) and subsequent Advancement dinners and celebrations
- Various Mixer events (in-person and virtual)
- College retiree events
- Develop and distribute all alumni-related communications both electronic and print including (but not limited to) :
- Alumni e-news
- Alumni profiles
- Alumni related stories / articles for the college’s Assiniboine Effect magazine.
- As appropriate, develop funding proposals and related correspondence.
- Manage alumni database as required.
- In collaboration with various college departments, contribute to internal and external engagement events and activities :
- Graduation committee (Brandon and Parkland)
- Staff Gathering committee.
- New student orientation committee.
Be able to deliver results by having :
- Post-secondary education :
- Assiniboine Community College graduate preferred.
- Business-related discipline would be an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience would be considered.
- Experience in marketing and sales
- Client management skills an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
- Proven track record with managing multiple projects / tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to guard confidentiality.
- Experience working with various roles within an organization.
- Communicating at a very high level necessary
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
- Track record of negotiation experience
- Familiarity with fundraising techniques
- Basic skills with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint are essential.
- Basic skills and experience working with Mailchimp software an asset.
- Experience working with a customer relationship database (CRM) an asset.
- Blackbaud (Raiser’s Edge) preferred.
- Must be willing and able to work in a flexible environment.
- Occasional evening and / or weekends.
- Travel will be required.
